What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps people recognise the link between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps identify unhelpful patterns, such as “I’m not good enough” or “I’ll fail” and shift them into more realistic and useful mindsets like “I can try my best” or “I’ve managed before”.

CBT provides practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and habits — and it’s one of the most well-researched, widely used therapies in modern healthcare systems, including the National Health System (NHS) in the UK.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses deep relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind — where habits, beliefs, and emotions are stored. In this calm and focused state, the mind is more receptive to positive suggestions, which helps shift patterns that may otherwise feel stuck.

People remain aware and in control during hypnosis — they simply experience a deeper state of focus where helpful imagery and new ideas can be more easily absorbed.
